The sexily-lit entrance runs parallel to the moody Martini Bar, and instantly shuts out the urban hubbub. The rooms here are sleek, with hardwood floors, black-and-white prints and an inoffensive palette of taupe and black. It's the sister hotel to the Cosmopolitan and has the same useful kitchenette facilities for long-term stays, and together with iPod docking stations and fluffy robes, it's not a bad place to get stranded.
The spa ticks all the boxes and the bar is dark enough for any illicit trysts. The library – with its shaggy carpet and fireplace - is a great spot to curl up with a book and look innocent. Downside: there's no restaurant, so the bar offers a continental breakfast each morning.
